The Sports for Business Committee (SFB) Chairs Ian Scott and Matthew Walker are pleased to invite committee members to a networking event on 13 March.

Join us at Two Rooms CAFE | GRILL | BAR Nihombashi for canapés and free-flow drinks to meet Adelaide Giants' General Manager, Nathan Davison; Director of Baseball Operations, Scott Gladstone; and Director of Media and PR, Eric Balnar, who are visiting Japan for the World Baseball Classic - where seven Adelaide Giants players and two coaches are part of the Australian team - and to continue talks with the Yomiuri Giants regarding a summer league in South Australia.

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to join the discussion led by Cristina Merino, Head of Travel and Hospitality at STH Japan and former ANZCCJ Executive Director, on the buzz around World Baseball Classic 2023 and the critical role sport has in business; how Adelaide Giants' management is developing a summer league which will be a first for Australia, and how the team owner, Australian property developer Pelligra, is committed to helping strengthen and grow the South Australian sporting landscape.

Japan won the inaugural WBC in 2006 and retained the title in 2009. They are currently ranked #1 while Australia is the top-ranked team in Oceania and #10 in the WBSC Rankings.
