ANZCCJ, in collaboration with the Government of South Australia, invites members and guests to join us on Thursday 11 July 2024, for an insightful discussion on the rapid growth and subsequent commercial opportunities in Australia's space sector and the importance of partnering with Japan.

With the emergence of NewSpace, the space industry has been expanding on a yearly basis and is expected to grow in scale from around 40 trillion yen at present to more than 100 trillion yen over the next 30 years. Hear from government and industry representatives, including Inovor Technologies, an Australian mission solution services provider who will give us an overview of their work as well as show how our geography and less restrictive export control regime is positioning Australia well to become a leading force in the global space sector, as well as Naoko Yamazaki, former JAXA astronaut who is now the Representative Director of Space Port Japan, with the aim of making Japan the Asia hub for the space travel business.

Mr Peter Roberts, Chargé d'Affaires at the Australian Embassywill open the event, followed by a panel discussion and then networking with canapes and fine South Australian wines. Meet a number of Australian space start-ups and industry leaders, as well as Japanese space industry representatives at this event, and learn about the opportunities for business and collaboration in this exciting sector.
